In today's post I am going to talk to you about my style icons, both past and present.
PAST
1. MORRISSEY
I am a huge fan of The Smiths as a band. To me Morrissey effortless style was at it's best when the group were together; loose fitted shirts, classic button down jeans, not forgetting to pile on a ton beaded necklaces.
Here is one of my many favourite performances: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_h-lN-ipAEI
2. LAUREN HUTTON
I have only recently fallen in love with Lauren Hutton's 70's style. Aside from Hutton being stunningly beautiful, her clothing choices are as equally fabulous. Tailored trousers and silken shirts were often a combination that you'd find Hutton sporting.
3. JIMI HENDRIX
Jimi Hendrix is the ultimate 70's style icon to me. His music was, and still is amazing, but his unique style was even more wonderful. Hendrix would be found wearing explosions of colour, bold psychedelic prints, fringing and his trademark bandana.
PRESENT
1. SUKI WATERHOUSE
Suki Waterhouse is the ultimate London girl. Waterhouse's 60's style with an edge, and her willingness to try something different with her outfit choices is something I admire.
2. RIHANNA
The ultimate style chameleon. Rihanna always plays by her own rules and pushes boundaries with her fashion choices, and still manages to pull off any outfit! Rihanna can do no wrong!
3. ANNA DELLO RUSSO
Russo's maximalist style is exactly why I love her. She isn't afraid to try something flamboyant and totally unexpected, which has subsequently resulted in her becoming a street style icon. Russo really is bringing back the fun into fashion.
I hope after reading this post that you feel as inspired as I do to switch up my outfit choices on a daily basis, and try something new and totally unexpected!
Thankyou for reading,
