BOOK REVIEW | GRACE (A MEMOIR OF GRACE CODDINGTON)

I am so thrilled to share with you one of my favourite books I have read to date, Grace.

The book follows the wonderful character of Grace Coddington as she allows us to experience her life from a young girl to a fashion editor at Vogue.

Grace's witty and charming tone throughout the book makes it a light and exciting read as she narrates you through her life. She touches upon growing up in Wales as a child, her early modelling career and  her career at American Vogue, to name a few!

One aspect I particularly love about this book and Grace herself is that she is not afraid to be brutally honest, especially when talking to her close colleague Anna Wintour. Which subsequently makes her stand out from others within the industry, as most would crumble around Wintour. Her opinionated personality is also shown well in the documentary 'The September Issue', wish I highly recommend you watching if you haven't already.

The book itself is coffee table worthy, the cover being bright orange and the book itself filled with wonderful and interesting photos and illustrations of Grace's life.

I find it particularly difficult to write about book's I have read as I do not want to reveal to much about the contents. But this book is definitely worth a read, whether you're interested in fashion or not. Coddington is truly a admirable individual, someone I look up to who works within the industry in which I hope to work someday.
